PMA stands for Platform Media Adviesbureaus and is an industry organization with 17 affiliated media consultancy firms. Some of the affiliated media agencies are: Carat Nederland, De Media Maatschap, Mindshare, Universal Media, Wavemaker and Zuiver Media. Together they account for almost 60% of the total media spending in the Netherlands. PMA is mostly acting in the background. They unite these media consulting firms that are competitors of each other in daily practice. PMA acts as the quality controller for media research these agencies carry out. This is important for their member agencies, their customers and thus the whole industry. PMA strives for better integration and mutual coordination between its members.
